The Velda Cross-Flow Biofill is a flow-through filter with several advantages over other filter systems. Its purification capacity is greater, as is its biological effectiveness. This feature, combined with its easy installation, low maintenance, and ultimate water filtration, makes this filter universally applicable. New features include unbreakable nylon hose connectors and a solid domed lid. The Cross-Flow Biofill is equipped with an 18-watt UV-C unit and all necessary filter materials and fittings. The ultraviolet radiation from the UV-C lamp kills floating algae and pathogens. With the Cross-Flow Biofill, pond water becomes and remains crystal clear and healthy.
